A meaningful level
Prior high / low, session level, or a clear local swing.
Sweep or level reaction
A reclaim or rejection. Continuations can simply hold the level.
Momentum in your direction
Follow-through and swing progression. A reversal needs a shift; a continuation needs alignment.
Displacement & structure
Expansion relative to nearby candles and a meaningful break, ideally on a close.
The retest response
A pullback to the level or FVG, then a held response. A wick alone is incomplete.
Clear invalidation
A structural location that would disprove this idea.
Space to the objective
A useful path before the next opposing level or liquidity.
Quality and readiness are separate. A strong idea can still be forming.
